International Woman Of The Year 2003
World's Best Songwriter/Singer Of The Year Link Interview Link Part Three
Diva
Amanda
McBroom

...The creativity and immense talent of
McBroom don’t expire or begin at the dawn or sunset of an international hit,
the success of an artist who recorded her songs, at the end of a stormy applaud
or an historical performance. Whether legends and superstars in the business
record her compositions or not, McBroom’s place of honor in the world of music
has been already secured and honored like a shrine, like a national monument…She
is as good as Edith Piaf, but much happier. Piaf brought tragedy and sarcasm of
destiny to the French song and world cabaret. McBroom took away the tragedies,
sarcasm and
hurting hearts and replaced them with enchantment, joy, happiness and rays of
hope, even though, around her roses and trembling leaves, a few warm drops of
tears still burn each time a new day awakes and surrenders in unfulfilled dreams
and vanishing wishes, each time
“Some say love, it is a river that drowns
the tender reed.
Some say love, it is a razor that leaves your soul to bleed.
Some say love, it is a hunger, an endless aching need.
I say love, it is a flower, and You its only seed.” (Excerpt
from Amanda's The Rose)

BALSAMO
How
could alone an aluminum tube of colors produces such a majestic beauty…How
could a piece of wood, a brush with animal or plastic hair create such marvelous
hills, prairies and houses on the face of linens…How could a flesh…How could
mortal hands immortalize the mind, the soul, the beauty, the visions, the dreams
and the worlds within worlds on a canvases, if art was only a human medium...link

Diva Barbara Cook
Best Concert Singer Of The Year
BARBARA COOK is the Greatest Theatrical Singer in concert at the
moment. --
The London Times
We
shall not see her like again -- there’s just no one to take her place! -- Musical
Stages
A
divinity in human guise.
A force of musical nature. This
is everywhere apparent – in her commitment to interpretive truth, her
searching intelligence and certainly her joyous soprano, one of the most
celebrated in Broadway history.
Such magic is the stuff that creates legends
and designates Cook as a
national treasure.” --
David C. Nichols, The Los
Angeles Times
German Gold of Lithuania/Russia
Best Ethnic Painter Of Year 2003
The
art works of Gold reproduce that provincial - patriarchal Jewish world that
was burnt to ashes and disappeared after "Satan's return" mentioned
earlier German Gold. In his art, German tries to reproduce the life of
his "fathers" and at the same time attempts to show love of
sons of the Judaic cosmos for their "fathers". His portrait,
landscape and so-called historical genre art reproduce

His eyes dwell on all concrete
features, signs and characteristics of human symbolism, on life eurhythmics,
and its main goal.

ELECTED MEMBER OF THE "WORLD WHO’S WHO OF THE GREATEST AMERICAN FEMALE SINGERS FROM THE 19th CENTURY TO PRESENT"

Her repertoire has no limits, for
her versatility transcends all frontiers and dimensions of known and unknown
musical genres. She is operatic, Jazzy, lyrical, classical, classy, refined,
outrageous, stunning, traditional and progressive. This is how we explain her
universal appeal wherever she goes and wherever she performs from Singapore to
Canada and from here to eternity. She has
been compared to Billie Holiday, Sarah Vaughn and Ella Fitzgerald. But her fans
believe that Nancy Kelly is the “Great Nancy Kelly! And I think that, this
woman is almost perfect!" Nancy described herself as a cross
between old style saloon singer and a hard swingin' jazz singer. "I’m
a bebop singer at heart, but from a stylistic standpoint the music I perform
covers mainstream jazz, soft pop and cabaret. I’m also from the old school
that Ella Fitzgerald, Tony Benett and Frank Sinatra belong to in that I love to
entertain an audience." When Asked why upstate New York Kelly
replied: "I realize that living along the shore of Lake Ontario might not be
as advantageous for a jazz career as say, living in Manhattan, Bit this is a
beautiful part of the country and it provides me with the type of spiritual
connection to my roots that enables me to recharge creativity between
gigs."
